The Darkest Hours After I heard 'Them Used Gods' I already knew that this band would get signed by a label and that's exactly what happenned! Those guys got a lot of talent and it's easy to see that and they did an amazing job to wrote better songs than on their last demo. They got a huge excellent writting skills. The main good point is that this CD sounds awesome! A very professional production and it's easy to hear clearly all the different elements on the CD. Again you got progressive death metal with powerfull melodies. Clean vocals, death vocals, some songs are very heavy and some are more atmospheric & soft. You got a bunch of different songs that fits perfectly together. It's hard to stop listening to that CD when you begin on track 1!! The keyboard is also a very important element on that CD. It create the unique atmosphere and the catchy melodies that sticks in your mind forever! This band remember me a bit Opeth but in a catchier and simplier way and for me that a positive point cause I don't like to be lost in a song and Elenium brough something technical but catchy at the same time so you got the 2 side of the story! A masterpiece! 90% / 100% Patrick |
