Metal Revolution

Elenium’ second full-length album Caught in a Wheel is a step further in creating wonderful piece of music. This time on this 9-tracker the band is playing what I would call a melodic death metal with elements of progressive death, beautiful painting of melodies and ever changing atmospheres. The production is fantastic this time around, especially the sound of the Tuomo’s bass. The whole material is actually very good. Keyboards parts are well placed, so are the great guitar solos. The band is tight and the music is above everything dynamic making it a true pleasure to listen to. At both it is beautifully fragile and massively aggressive in the best Finnish death metal style. This is simply a high quality material with which Elenium proves once again that the adolescence is gone and this grown up five piece unit shoots you in the face with no remorse. If you’re into bands as Carcass, Voivod, Death and similar acts I’m sure you will love this release, I did. For more info go to www.eleniumband.com or their label at www.kampas.fi
